Ukraine Regulation for Flight Delay & Cancellation Compensation

Get Compensation Up to €600

The Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine No. 735 (2219/22531) initiated the air passenger rights similar to EU261/2004, where in case of flight cancellation and denied boarding, passengers are entitled to get compensation up to €600 (to be paid in Ukrainian hryvnia)

Air Passenger Rights in Ukraine

Strongly inspired with European Passenger Regulation, Ukraine passenger rights has set compensation for flight cancellation and denied boarding cases, where passengers can claim for compensation and airline is obliged to pay compensation up to €600 along with additional services depending on the circumstance.

Flight Compensation

Passengers suffering from flight cancellation or denied boarding are entitled to get compensation up to €600. Note: Compensation amount is set in Euro but to be paid in Ukrainian hryvnia.

Passengers are entitled to compensation whenever time irregularities are caused by circumstances that are the responsibility of the airline. If there are “Extraordinary Circumstances” outside of the airline’s control, the obligations of the airline are restricted.

Re-Routing Services


If a passenger missed connecting flight due to the flight delay, cancellation or denied boarding, then airline is liable to offer an alternative flight. If airline fails to provide an alternative flight or adequate replacement, passengers must ask for transportation services to their point of departure. In case, passengers do not use their flight ticket because of the disruption, the airline must reimburse the ticket amount.
